Mr. Elk’s Chocolate Factory

Mr. Elk was an incredibly nice elk. He was extremely helpful to  all the animals of the forest and would bake several things such as delightful chocolate chip cookies and the sweetest muffins. One day, as Mr. Elk was sipping his coffee, he had a very clever idea. He had seen that most of the animals in the forest had a sweet tooth . So, he decided to set up a confectionery factory which he would name ‘Mr. Elk’s Confectionery Factory’. He went to his locker and found that he had one thousand five hundred dollars and sixty six cents. He would need at least ten thousand dollars to set up a factory let alone bringing the required materials. So, he set out wearing his rusty brown boots and green scarf into the sunny spring wood for house of his dear friend, Mr. Redtail the stag. After greeting him with a pleasant ‘Good Morning’ and seating himself on a comfortable blue sofa chair in the midst of a warm wooden room, he began to discuss with Mr. Redtail that he needed some funds to start ...

Cleanliness is next to Godliness

Cleanliness is next to Godliness   Once upon a time, there lived a cat named Mr. Cleanfur and a dog named Mr. Muddypaws. Mr. Cleanfur lived in a nice little red cottage and Mr. Muddypaws in a beautiful green cottage. They both lived on a spick and span street named Clover Lane.   Mr. Cleanfur’s cottage was attractive and cosy and just as clean from the inside as it was from the outside.   One could smell fresh roses when entering the house. Mr. Cleanfur was a neat and tidy cat who bathed everyday early in the morning around 6:30 am and enjoyed to clean his house regularly and keep his books and important documents in an orderly manner. He always washed his dishes after a meal and kept his food either covered in a cauldron or in a refrigerator to keep it safe and sound away from the reach of pests and germs. There was not a single fly in his house and he made sure that his windows and doors were shut tight in the night to keep away the pests.  He was a well dressed ca...

Lance the Inventor

Lance was a cheerful, young groundhog. His passion was to invent and his inventions were remarkable. He had invented an airplane that could fly and a parachute too. He also invented a zip line and a pogo stick.  His laboratory was in a giant hole near the Old Oak Tree. One day, Lance overheard a frog talking to a rabbit just above his hole. The frog said, “Tomorrow is the Great Talent Competition. If you have any talent, you have the choice to reveal it in front of all the forest animals. The animal with the greatest talent would receive the Triumphant Talent Trophy.” Lance was excited. He began preparing for the competition as soon as possible. He polished his airplane, painted it with the brightest colours and created the most vibrant parachutes ever. The next day, he hurriedly took his inventions to the competition. He saw hundreds of artists with beautiful sculptures, colourful paintings and stunning masterpieces. He joyfully demonstrated his work to the public. However,...
